Small house of about 4X4 m, with door and a window. It has a fireplace and a couple of chairs.
It seems in good condition and can be left closed. From Valverde de la Sierra there is a track that reaches the refuge, although we left the van halfway before crossing a stream. I doubt that a normal car reaches the refuge. They are about 6 km of track.
It is at the bottom of the Rio Grande valley, closed by a mountain range of a couple of km that exceeds 2000 m.
