Shelter - Refugio Campera de Ordiales

On the A-8 motorway and the N-634 in the direction of Santander until Arriondas where we take the C-637 to Cangas de Onís. From there to Covadonga, on the AS-262, continuing to the Lakes. As soon as you see Lake Enol from the road at the top, there is a track to the right that we take and it takes us a little over a kilometer to the Pandecarmen car park, where we left the car.

The route begins in the Buferrera car park, in the Enol de Covadonga Lakes. From there we will walk towards the Vega de Enol, leaving behind the house of shepherds and continuing on the track until it forks, we take the left until we reach Pandecarmen
From Pandecarmen down the track that goes down, shortly we cross the Ponperi River by a bridge and begin to climb to the Vega de la Piedra.
We follow the path up to the Prida hill and passing this we arrive at a wide meadow, occupied by a large meadow. After crossing this prairie we immediately found the Canraso Canal, where we crossed the stream of the Vahos. We arrive at another group of cabins that form the Majada de la Rondiella. After saving a slight slope, we reach the pass of the Gamonal and shortly after the refuge of Vegarredonda (saved refuge).
Behind the refuge and to the right you take the path of Ordiales that runs at the beginning by a quite closed channel and through which we take height until a hill. From here, the road softens, passing through the Campos de la Torga. In a short time the road puts us in the wide jacket of Ordiales where is refuge of Icona, also known as refuge Campera de Ordiales. Crossing the jacket you will arrive in a few minutes to the Ordiales Viewpoint.
