How to get there
In car to the same shelter, from Jumilla first by paved road and then by forest track that begins at Casa de la Rosa to the refuge. On foot, 2 h. 30 min. from Jumilla to the Casas del Carche through the Barranco del Revolcador.
It has bunk beds, water tank, place to cook, fireplace, table and bench. All year Shelter not saved. Located on the northern slope of the Carche in the upper part of the ravine that form the Peña del Castellar and the umbría del Revolcador altitude 995 m.
Ascents to El Carche, Peña El Castellar. Crossings: El Carche / Sierra de la Pila, El Carche / Santa Ana.
