Shelter - Refugio de Lizara

Description

75 beds Paid 1540m

The Valley of Aragüés-Jasa is one of the four valleys of the Natural Park of the Western Valleys, declared in the year 2006. The refuge is located at the end of the valley, on the so-called plain of Lizara and under the imposing Bisaurín. Because of its accessibility by vehicle, but at the same time its location outside of towns and in an environment that combines the middle and high mountains, the refuge is a magnificent point for the development of initiation activities to the different mountain sports.

In winter, a track is enabled in the Llano de Lizara, which is managed from the shelter itself.

The Refuge of Lizara is certified with ISO 14001 since October 2004, pioneering experience in Spain and the Pyrenees in the field of mountain refuges, from where it is committed to an environmental management model with the installation of renewable energy sources, the usual practice of selective waste collection and environmental awareness campaigns.
