How to get there

Access on foot: In summer you will arrive by private car to the parking lot at the entrance to the National Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici (Prats de Pierró). From here you can continue on foot to Sant Maurici Lake by a well-indicated path ("L'isard route", 1 h.) And, from Sant Maurici to Amitges, continue along a track, also well indicated (1.45 h.). There is the option to take the Taxis service (973 624 105) to go up to Sant Maurici, Ratera Lake, or the same shelter. In the heart of winter, you can not go by car to the parking lot due to snow and ice that cover part of the road. It can be very dangerous: inform yourself before trying. Leave the car to Espot.
Access by car: On the C-13 road to the junction of the reservoir of La Torrassa and, from there, along the LV-5004 to the village of Espot.
