Shelter - Refugi Serra d’Ensija
Description
In September of 1964, the Federation of Hiking Organizations of Catalonia, under the name of the Catalan Federation of Mountaineering, inaugurated the refuge Serra d'Ensija, its eleventh mountain equipment at that time. It followed the same architectural structure as the Sant Jordi and Estanys de la Pera refuges. Located in a magnificent rocky area surrounded by meadows, close to the highest elevation of the Ensija mountain range, Cap de la Gallina Pelada (2,321m) is an ideal amenity for spending the night as well as stopping it. go there to make a bite The access roads through the Barranc de Llobateres and the Font Freda are a delight. It is also a magnificent place to practice winter hiking with snowshoes, with mostly rounded mountain profiles, ideal for practicing this mountain discipline. There are also several excursions with mountain skiing. Ensija is the only refuge saved from this pre-Pyrenean mountain range, which conceals many hidden treasures. Now it's just about to discover them.
