Shelter - Refugio de Nou Fonts
Description
Shelter of stone, without door and without services, there is a kind of stone wall in front of the door that covers the wind and is narrow so that no animal can enter, it is small and the door is small so that there is to enter crouched. Capacity for about 4 people and without any services. there is no firewood nearby so therefore no bonfire can be made. It is only reached on foot since it is located between the tops of Noucreus and Noufonts. The views are incredible and it is right on the border with France.
It is accessed from the Vall de Nuria, it is only accessible by zipper. So the vehicle is parked in Ribes de Freser, the nearest town that is 16 km from Nuria and Nuria 8 km from this refuge. The unevenness is quite pronounced since Nuria is to 1962 and this refuge to 2660.
From the Sanctuary of Nuria to the refuge it takes about 2:15 min up the Torrent de Noucreus.
