The Excursionista Empordanès Center was founded in 1965, and on October 4, 1998, this refuge was inaugurated. The GR 11 is a path that from Fuenterrabia to Cap de Creus crosses the entire Pyrenees through the South slope. What is clear is that the stage of the Jonquera-Vilamaniscle is very long, 9h 25min and 9h 15min from Vilamaniscle and La Jonquera, to make it a run here, where we have seen the convenience of conditioning the Barraca from the Lime Oven.
