It is located next to the CM-3216 road (from Alcaraz to Puerto del Barrancazo) between mileposts 19 and 20, right at the junction where an unpaved road starts that also goes to Alcaraz passing through La Mesta.
The refuge has only one room without any furniture, but outside, right next to the shelter, there is a table with benches and a fountain (although it is sometimes dry)
