Shelter - Refugio de La Berenilla

ACCESS: Sodupe, locality located at 76 m of altitude belonging to the municipality of Güeñes (Bizkaia).

SLOPE: 478 m positive slope.

APPROXIMATE TIME: 1h 20 min of ascension.

DIFFICULTY: Easy. Ascent by well marked tracks and trails.

The refuge of La Berenilla is located at the foot of the Eretza, proud and slender summit that boasts, with its 880 m of altitude, the honor of being the highest peak of the whole Grumerán massif and one of the most emblematic and known mountains of the province of Bizkaia.

This refuge, which can be accessed from Saratxo, Umaran, Sodupe and Galdames, has an extensive esplanade of fenced land inside which we find a fountain, two barbecue areas and six tables with their respective banks.
