Its traditional use is to safeguard pastors and herders in the area. There are no road access restrictions that a server knows about. You can also go up on foot from Hoz by signposted road of small route in hour and quarter.

Given its location, apart from offering a great landscape of the Tena Valley, it can serve as an approach to excursions through the Sierra de Tendeñera.
