It is accessed by going up from SAan Nicolás de Bujaruelo to Puerto de Bujaruelo and deviating after about 20m on the left along the road that goes up to the Bernón de Bernatuero. El Refugio is on the left of the road shortly after it crosses the Bernatuero ravine

It consists of two rooms, one of which is open.
