Located in the Benasque valley, at the foot of the Maladetas massif and the Aneto peak (the highest peak of the Pyrenees), this is one of the mountainous places par excellence. This circumstance is reflected in the fact that already in 1916 the Catalan Excursionist Center built a sheltered shelter here.
Recently remodeled, and now co-managed by this entity and the Aragonese Mountaineering Federation, La Renclusa continues to provide a magnificent service to mountaineers, and although its appearance has changed, it maintains a faithful mountain tradition.
