Campsite - Las Almohallas

Description

? beds Free to use

In a placid mixed forest environment formed by pine forests with holm oaks and autochthonous thickets, there is the Las Almohallas controlled camping area.

This equipment provides the visitor with a series of services that facilitates the visit and knowledge of the Sierra María-Los Vélez Natural Park. Its use is mainly focused on the young population, so its management is carried out through the Andalusian Youth Institute. As equipment it has barbecues, fountains and toilets. Undoubtedly, it is worth contemplating the views that from here you have of the Calares de Leria, whose base is the emblematic Cueva de Ambrosio, already outside the limits of the protected area.

Another attraction of the enclave is the existence of the Center for the Recovery of Threatened Species that forms part of the Andalusian Network of facilities that houses emblematic species, among which include raptors and reptiles such as the Black Tortoise, in danger of extinction.
