SITUATION: In the Sierra de Aralar, at the top of the headwaters of Arroyo Maizegui, near the Collado de Trikuarri. (UTM: 30T 578450 4759500). It is integrated in a group of several buildings, being the one that can be used freely located further south.

DESCRIPTION: Stone building with roof, in good condition, with windows and door with its integral carpentry. Inside, it is organized in two pieces, which have benches and tables; Removing said furniture, I estimate that 6 people could sleep comfortably. It has a fireplace.

RESOURCES: There is water (source a few meters away from Lizarrusti) and abundant firewood in the vicinity.

ACTIVITIES: It can serve as stage (not " official ") for GR.12 or other crossings in the area.

ACCESS: By the GR.12, to 1h30 of Lizarrusti. For details, they are on the ascent to Irumugarrieta.

From Lakuntza you can access by track to the Sanctuary of San Miguel de Aralar, track that joins the sanctuary with the hermitage of Andra Mari.

The population of Lakuntza belongs to the community of Navarra, although the refuge is located in the Basque Country.

It can be accessed from Guardetxe's guarded shelters (1h 15 min) from the GI-2120, Lizarrusti (2h 15 min) and from Lakuntza (3h 15 min).

It is located right next to the guarded refuge of Igaratza that belongs to the friends of Aralar
