Refugio de los Ibones de Bachimaña is located in the same anteroom of a whole set of cirques of glacial origin, now occupied at its base by a large number of ibones, such as those of Gramatuero, those of Pezico and the well-known Ibones Azules, and culminated by an impressive range of peaks and ridges of great beauty, some of them exceeding three thousand meters of altitude, such as the Hells, the Great Facha or the Garmo Negro and Argualas. At the same time, the refuge is located in the heart of the GR11, the Trans-Pyrenean Path.

It is a new and modern mountain refuge, prepared to fulfill its dual function of sports and public service, and that facing the mountain possibilities opens a wide range of options, both for crossings and for ascents and difficult activities. The mountain refuge of Casa de Piedra, in the Balneario de Panticosa at 1,636 m altitude, complements this one of Los Ibones de Bachimaña, expanding the possibilities of use of both given the proximity between them.
